The Reforged are not merely augmented individuals—they are the bleeding edge of Promethean ambition. Volunteers, test subjects, survivors, or zealots, each Reforged has cast aside a piece of their former self in pursuit of engineered transcendence. Some replace limbs, others memories. Some reshape their nervous systems to house experimental algorithms or undergo irreversible psychic-mind fusion. Their transformation is not optional; it is their doctrine.

Each Reforged serves as a proof of concept. They walk among the stars as living prototypes, test beds for cybernetic theology and philosophical biology. Pain, instability, and identity drift are accepted as necessary risks in the pursuit of superior design. Whether built for war, diplomacy, research, or ritual, the Reforged represent the Promethean future before it is ready—flawed, brilliant, and terrifying in equal measure. They are honored, feared, studied, and sometimes discarded. And yet they endure, because evolution demands it.

Profession Benefits

Sleepless Adaptation: Your system enters low-power rest states that replace traditional sleep. This allows near-continuous activity with minimal downtime effectively havling your long rest.

Suppressed Vulnerability Response: You no longer signal distress in traditional ways. You can be grievously injured or emotionally shaken without revealing it to others and you will often forget to keep track yourself.

Profession Restrictions

You May Not Reside in Natural Environments Long-Term: Reforged individuals are expected to live in environments of progress—labs, stations, hubs. Prolonged time in nature is discouraged and viewed as atavism.

You Must Not Hide Your Alteration: Your transformation is a statement of progress. Concealing your enhancements is considered shameful or even heretical.

Must initially spend at least half of the available development points in Tech Categories from both class and profession in Cybernetics.

Can never use magical items.
