Riftwalkers

Playability:

Riftwalkers are explorers of the unseen, walking the seams of existence where dimensions thin and reality folds inward. Part of the Ordo Noctis, they step between the boundaries of time and space, navigating through rifts, fractures, and unstable echoes of possibility. They return bearing insights from timelines that might have been - or still could be - offering glimpses into the multiverse’s deeper structure. Mostly in a philosophical way - mostly.

Riftwalkers do not rely on brute force or traditional magic, but on intuition, precision, and an attunement to dimensional resonance. They map the impossible, detect shifts in causality, and sense when reality begins to flex. Their presence often brings strange echoes: deja vu, temporal loops, or impossible familiarity. Where others see coincidence, a Riftwalker sees a crossroads of timelines. They are cartographers of instability, bridging what is with what almost was, and always with the intent of improving their magical knowledge and abilities.

Profession Benefits

Impossible Recall: You sometimes know things you shouldn’t: details from erased timelines, unspoken intentions, or events that were about to happen but didn’t.

Convergence Instinct: You are drawn - subtly and unerringly - toward pivotal locations or people where major shifts in reality are about to unfold.

Profession Restrictions

Rift-Bound Restlessness: You cannot benefit from full rest while in serene, unchanging environments. Healing is slowed, dreams become unstable, and you regenerate poorly. Your need for long rest is +2 hours.

Pattern Hunger: If denied new patterns, you start to subconsciously rewrite the current one. This might manifest as dreams that spill into reality, altered memories, or friction between allies.
