Use sharp, retractable energy blades for close combat. Your claw implants can be deployed immediately costing no action points to “draw”. You may gain a surprise bonus against opponents who consider you unarmed. However, you cannot hold anything in your hands while using this skill.
To attack, roll d100 + your skill bonus in Claw Implants against the opponent’s Defense Bonus and other attack roll modifiers. If you hit you deal damage as per the standard short sword (and the AP cost per attack is the same as that for the sword (+1 concentration per round)).
The penalty for off-hand attacks is halved (-25. Down from 50).
