The gladiator is trained in showmanship and brutal, arena-style combat techniques. Some train intensively for artistic effect, others prefer tactical fighting or efficient assassination techniques. Most gladiators will need good physical abilities but a high score in presence may also come in handy in pitched arena-style shows.

Gladiators are often respected for their raw physical power and fearless nature. Allies appreciate their straightforward approach to combat, while enemies quickly learn to fear their ruthless efficiency in the arena. However, some see them as little more than brutal warriors, lacking the finesse of other fighters.

Ability Prioritization Explained

Core Abilities
Strength: Your primary engine for arena damage, grapples, shoves, and brutal finish pressure—perfect for all melee weapon lines and smash-through tactics.
Creativity: Showmanship, misdirection, and trick lines—lets you blend flourish with lethality and leverage Artistic/feint-style plays inside a fight.

Supporting Abilities
Agility: Fine weapon handling, footwork, and precision—great for Melee Expertise chains, Movement entries/exits, and Artistic blade work.
Quickness: Tempo control and reactions—initiative, interrupts, and seizing openings across Melee Expertise, Movement, and pressure-driven Defense.

Important Abilities
Constitution: Endures chip damage and long bouts; keeps you dangerous when the crowd (and the stakes) climb.
Presence: Intimidation, crowd control, and command posture—amplifies taunts and many Tactics plays.
Boldness: Commitment under fire—drives charges, flurries, and all-in windows when hesitation costs the kill.
Self Discipline: Holds stance and composure—useful for defensive pivots and sustained pressure without overextending.

Minor Abilities
Reasoning: Planning helps, but live timing and brutality carry this class.
Intuition: Nice for reading tells and traps, yet secondary to your core combat stats.
Memory: Useful for matchups and routines, but not a limiter.
Empathy: Minimal impact for an arena-focused brawler.
