The Graskin are a young, emerging sentient species, roughly the height of small humans but broader in the shoulders and arms. Their thick gray-brown skin, pronounced jaws, and heavy brows give them a rugged, intimidating presence, yet their eyes reveal awareness, calculation, and growing intelligence. Though often mistaken for simple brutes, the Graskin show clear signs of a developing culture and social hierarchy.
They live in simple tribal settlements carved out of caverns, ruined outposts, or cliffside shelters. Graskin construct crude walls, bone totems, and defensive pits, using tools and weapons crafted from stone, wood, and scavenged metal. Their speech is a mix of guttural words and rhythmic vocal patterns, used for coordination during hunts or battle.
Despite their physical power, the Graskin are not mindless. They plan ambushes, establish territory borders, trade when needed, and retreat when outmatched. They show loyalty to their tribe and fight with a deep, instinctive unity. Many scholars view them as a rising species—one that could, with time, evolve into disciplined warriors or even form fledgling civilizations.
