Also Known As

The Pact

Faction Type

Underground Factions

A brutal mercenary brotherhood that serves as elite soldiers-for-hire. Their warriors undergo genetic modifications to enhance their combat abilities.

Focus

A brutal, highly disciplined mercenary brotherhood, known for its elite genetically-enhanced warriors, ruthless efficiency, and unwavering loyalty to the contracts they take—no matter the cost.

Specialities

  • Elite Mercenary Warfare – Tactical, highly trained genetically modified soldiers for hire.
  • Brutal Combat Doctrine – Relentless shock assault tactics, favoring overwhelming force and psychological dominance.
  • Ironclad Loyalty to Contracts – The Pact never breaks a contract, ensuring they remain the most trusted mercenary force in the galaxy.
  • Gene-Enhanced Warriors – Use of combat modifications including enhanced musculature, heightened reflexes, and resilience to pain and fatigue.

Notable Features

The Blood Oath, a ceremonial rite where new initiates undergo their first round of genetic enhancement and swear an unbreakable vow to the Pact, branding themselves body and soul to the brotherhood.

The Crimson Pact does not fight for nations, for gods, or for causes. They fight for power, survival, and the brotherhood of warriors who have bled together. Their code is built upon:

  • "The Pact is Absolute." – A contract, once taken, cannot be broken, no matter the cost.
  • "Weakness is Death." – Those who cannot endure the Pact’s brutal training and modifications are cast aside known as ‘The Faded’.
  • "Honor is Bought in Blood." – Warriors earn their place through battle, not words.
  • "Victory First, Questions Later." – The Pact does not debate morality—they execute orders.

For The Crimson Pact, war is the only constant, and survival belongs to those who fight for it.

Structure

Unlike traditional armies, the Crimson Pact operates as a warrior brotherhood, where every member is bonded by blood and oath.

  • The Crimson Lords: The ruling council of veteran warlords and battle-hardened commanders, each overseeing different divisions of the Pact. Only those who have survived over a decade of warfare and personally slain an enemy commander in battle are eligible to become a Crimson Lord.
  • The Oathbound:  Elite Pact warriors who have undergone multiple rounds of genetic enhancement, making them stronger, faster, and more resilient than baseline humans. They serve as shock troopers, bodyguards, and enforcers, their very presence inspiring fear on the battlefield.
  • The Ironclads: Heavy assault specialists, clad in reinforced exo-armor and wielding devastating weapons. Used for breaching fortifications, holding key positions, and frontline suppression tactics.
  • The Shadow Talons: The assassins and infiltration units of the Pact, trained in silent elimination and high-profile target disruption. Unlike other Pact warriors, they rely on precision over brute force, but their combat enhancements still make them deadlier than most elite assassins.
  • The Reforgers: Scientists, biochemists, and geneticists who maintain and refine the Pact’s enhancements, ensuring that each new generation of warriors is deadlier than the last. Their experiments are often brutal, with failed subjects either discarded or used for live combat testing.

Reputation

Feared as unrelenting warriors who never break their oaths. Respected by those who value loyalty, strength, and absolute discipline. Hated by those who see them as soulless killers who serve only credits and contracts.

Major Rivalries

The Helion Combine – The Combine tries to financially manipulate the Pact, but the Pact refuses to be controlled by bankers and bureaucrats.

The Prometheans – While both factions use genetic enhancement, the Prometheans seek evolution, while the Pact sees augmentation purely as a tool for war.

The Eclipse Cartel – The Pact despises organized crime, seeing the Cartel’s lack of discipline as weakness, and has been known to hunt them down for sport when contracts allow.

Major Alliances

Long Description

The Crimson Pact is not just a mercenary army—it is a brotherhood of warriors forged in blood. Unlike other mercenary groups that function as simple guns-for-hire, the Pact follows a code of absolute loyalty to their contracts. Once they accept a mission, they will complete it, no matter the difficulty or the morality of the task.

Their warriors are more than just soldiers—they are walking weapons, their bodies enhanced through genetic modification, biochemical augmentation, and years of punishing training. To become one of them is to forsake weakness, individuality, and mercy.

They do not fight for politics, for honor, or for ideology. They fight for the Pact—and for the blood price that fuels it.
