When casting the Spectral Melee Attack spell you summon an melee weapon of any type (cost 1 AP). You can use this weapon for to attack opponentsĀ (costs 2 AP and counts as a normal attack)- using your bonus in this spell as your attack bonus. Roll against targets DB and use the appropriate weapon table to calculate damage.
Any damage dealt is illusory and will disappear if target is reduced to 0 health (or below) or when the combat ends.
If the target does not know the weapon you use (stone age hunter hit by a steel sword), if you attack using stealth or if the GM rules that your attack is unrealistic - add the targets Resilience score to their DB.
The spectral melee weapon does normal damage as per the weapon created by the illusion. The weapon cannot be used to destroy or damage inanimate objects or creatures with very low IQ (below 5) and cannot be used for defensive actions (like defensive stance).
A target supecting an illusion can attempt to disbelieve - and must spend 1 AP to roll an opposed roll with targets Intuition score vs. attackers bonus in this spell.
