Spell Effect

You weave the light to make an illusion appear. The illusion affects all intelligent creatures that can see or experience the illusion.

Targets can disbelieve the illusion - if they have a reason to be suspicious - by rolling below their Intuition score with a d100. DM may adjust their chance of success.

  • Impossible phenomenon (a wall suddenly appears in the middle of a road): Targets will automatically disbelieve. Those missing their rolls will be slightly put off for 1 round, but still disbelieve the illusion.
  • Unlikely phenomenon (a sci-fi space port on a planet with low technology levels): All targets can spend 1 AP to disbelieve.
  • A copy of a known type of building (The Red Arrow Inn has a branch in Narthos - but the logo looks odd, doesn't it?): All targets must spend 2 AP if they wish to try and disbelieve.
  • Illusions that are deadly traps (a bridge across a chasm, if the sounds, winds or any of the supporting structures seem out of place, your brain will warn you): Any target directly affected gets a free disbelieve roll each round.
