The Blackhands are the Beana’s most feared and mistrusted merchants—operators who thrive in the shadows of the Echo Markets and across smuggling routes. While other Beana may deal openly in rare goods, the Blackhands specialize in what cannot be traded in daylight: stolen artifacts, banned relics, forged documents, and contraband too dangerous to list.
Masters of smuggling and thievery, Blackhands forge identities, disguise shipments, and slip goods through checkpoints unnoticed. They are thieves as much as merchants, infiltrators as much as negotiators. Their role in the Beana is perilous—both prized for the wealth and access they bring, and despised for the danger they draw onto the caravans.
For a player, the Blackhand offers a role of fixer, infiltrator, and provider. They can acquire rare items, break into restricted zones, forge safe passage, and arrange underworld deals that bypass official channels. They are the link between the party and the illicit networks of Rouktu and beyond.
Choosing this path means living under constant pursuit. The Soahtti, the Niibi Family, and countless rivals hunt them. Yet so long as there is something forbidden to be sold, there will be Blackhands to move it.

Information Broker – Secrets can be traded as currency, allowing access to intelligence others cannot buy.
Unreliable Allies – Underworld contacts may betray or abandon them if a better deal arises.
Heavy Surveillance – In larger settlements and ports, Shadowdealers are often monitored, limiting their freedom to operate.
