Pitmasters are the Ruvkebagi’s elite forays into the planet’s most dangerous depths. Outfitted with Combat Assistance Platforms (CAPs)—modular exoskeletons built to amplify strength, endurance, and combat capability—they push into unstable tunnels, abandoned chambers, and infested galleries where ordinary crews cannot go.

In these hostile zones, the greatest threats are not collapsing rock or toxic air, but the creatures that have adapted to the deep—predators built for silence, ambush, and brutal close-quarters combat. Pitmasters, with CAP-enhanced reflexes and precision, track these beasts through the faintest signs: a shadow breaking the dark, a tremor in loose gravel, the scent of disturbed air. When battle is joined, the CAP’s servo-assisted strikes, automated defensive maneuvers, and integrated tool systems give the Pitmaster the decisive edge to overwhelm even the most dangerous quarry.

Their missions range from clearing new shafts of predators, to reclaiming vital veins lost to infestation, to holding key access points until mining crews can safely move in. In the depths, a Pitmaster and their CAP are both hunter and shield—relentless, unyielding, and essential to the survival of Ruvkebagi industry.
